Are other children in danger playing with an HIV+ child?

van

Children are at fairly high risk of injury or even death when riding in the CAR every day. However, according to infectious disease specialists, there is NO danger from playing with an HIV+ child.

According to the National Safety Council, the odds of an American dying in a car accident are 1 in 84.   In sharp contrast, even among health care workers who handle needles and deal DAILY with blood spills, blood draws and major accidents, the incidence of transmission through this method is less thaner 1 in 1000.

Countless scientific studies and research prove that there is NO RISK of catching HIV from casual household contact. Your kids can not contract HIV from playing, bathing or eating with an HIV+ child, or any other general household activity. (including sneezing, coughing, spitting, etc)

HIV can only be transmitted by sex, blood or birth/breast milk.

Plus it's worth noting that there are over 1 million people in the US today living with HIV. Your kids may already be going to school or church with an HIV+ kid and not even know it.
